StartRight Preschool, Subang Jaya

Our curriculum emphasizes learning beyond classrooms. Our students learn topics on self, community and the world, so they become aware of what’s around them and are ready to play a role as a citizen of the world.

Language Immersion Programme
Our students will master three languages – English, Chinese and Malay. Each day is dedicated to one language where they will spend the whole day learning math and science, and speaking in that language. Eventually, when they enroll in any primary school, they can confidently speak, read and write in these languages.

HighScope Approach
Plan-Do-Review allows students to decide what they want to do and learn during the session. It is highly effective in scaffolding the organization of students’ ideas and helping students to articulate their ideas. We also find students engage in richer conversations when they share their plans which leads to more purposeful play and interaction with materials. They have more in-depth and detailed review conversations with the teachers.

KSPK
StartRight’s syllabus is compliant to National Preschool Standard Curriculum (KSPK) in teaching and learning. We also integrate age appropriate best practices in language, literacy, mathematics and science & technology from around.

Thematic Learning
StartRight students are eager learners. Our students have a great understanding of the community around them and the world they live in. We organize field trips in accordance to the theme they have covered to bring lessons to live.

Gym Classes
Early fitness helps build self-esteem and body awareness in children. Our gym class focuses on fundamental movement patterns and growing essential motor skills. And it helps our students to build coordination, strength, flexibility and hand-eye coordination.

Speech and Drama
StartRight students speak fluently and are confident in expressing themselves. They get to role play and participate in discussions which help them improve their vocabulary and articulate better.

Computer Science and Engineering
Our students get hands-on experience with science, technology, engineering and mathematics to inculcate their interest at an early age. This will help build problem solving skills and discover how things work.

Coaching
To help our students to be primary school ready, our 6-year-old students get 1-hour coaching in language and subjects they are weak in. This will eventually help them be confident when they enroll into primary school.

School Holiday Programme
Learning never stops, and our preschoolers are eager to learn even during the school holidays. Our StartRight teachers are committed to providing school holiday activities based on a chosen theme.
